As a non-profit organization, the OBHS is supported, in part, by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, but we also rely on the generosity of private donations in order to carry out our work.
Important aspects of our work include public education in schools and organizations. We also provide speakers to educate the public about the importance of Black heritage. We write contemporary and historical profiles and record and preserve oral history through taped interviews with members of Ontario Black communities. A significant part of our work is to encourage the youth to become involved in the Society's activities through the Leaders of Tomorrow program.
We appreciate your kind donation and invite you to click here to donate through CanadaHelps.
