Our Mission
The mission of the Ontario Black History Society (OBHS) is to build a better future for the Black community in Ontario and Canada. First it is critical to acknowledge and understand all that has happened to this point.
If it weren’t for the contributions countless Black trailblazers who helped shape Canada, things like Black History Month and Ontario Black History Society may never have existed. Therefore, it is imperative that we remember and celebrate these men and women.
Volunteer Interim Treasurer Sought
The OBHS is searching for an experienced volunteer interim treasurer.
The treasurer logs incoming funds and membership fees, liaises with the office manager, president, accountant, and occasionally, the auditor.
The term is two to three months, with the possibility of being elected at the upcoming AGM for a further one-year term. Work from home.
This is a no-pressure position in a friendly, non-profit organization.
Please send your CV to: admin@blackhistorysociety.ca ATTN: James… thank you.
