“I just want to see more of our youth reading…that’s my heart,” said Danielle Norris, Founder of Love of Literature Book Club.
From her love of books, Norris decided to create and lead an organization dedicated to the facilitation of space that prioritizes black youth reading, black authors, and black characters.
The first of its kind in the country, Love of Literature Book Club organizes important community-centred youth development work.
The book club will be hosted virtually this summer, welcoming Black youth from across the country to participate in reading books with characters that look like them.
